Data Interpretation

Population growth reflects the projected population changes in the Greater Caribbean region. Results are shown for two different time periods (2030, 2050).

Data Modelling

Population data in the model incorporates population count data for 2010 and 2020 from WorldPop, adjusted to match United Nations national population estimates. This dataset is a “constrained,” meaning that it provides population estimates only for areas that contain built settlements and leaves out areas with different types of land coverage. The model incorporates population data for two gender groups (female and male), three age groups (20-39, 40-59, 60-79), and four education groups (no schooling, primary education, secondary education, and tertiary education).
